LindoYes (he/him) is a dyslexic spoken word poet born, raised, and living in Philadelphia. He has been featured in Philly Weekly, MetroPhilly, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Button Poetry, Voices in Power, and Def Poetry Jam, to name a few. Lindo’s poetry expands across mediums including short animations, gumball machines, and plays, where he centers Black existence, mental health, and fantasy/scifi. He received the 2023 Jackie Robinson Award from Color of Change, the 2023 Change Maker Award from Uptown Standards, and was nominated for the Social Impact Award by Voices in Power. LindoYes is also the author of the poetry graphic novel Pawnshop, a Philly-based scifi/fantasy story about universal healthcare and mental health.
