Lady Sarkazym aka Tam Muhammad is a dynamic spoken word artist based in Philadelphia, with over 20 years of experience captivating audiences with her raw, unfiltered truth. Her poetry is a bold voice for Black women, navigating the emotional highs and lows of identity, resilience, love, rage, and healing. With each performance, she transforms the stage into a sanctuary where pain meets power, and every verse becomes a mirror reflecting the complexity of the Black woman’s experience. Lady Sarkazym doesn’t just perform poetry, she lives it. Her words cut deep with sharp wit to uplift and empower the listening audience. Along her journey she has published three poetry books and recorded three spoken word albums, each a testament to her dedication to storytelling, empowerment, and the celebration of Black womanhood. Lady Sarkazym is also the co-host of the Hustler of Culture Show, a collaboration with her husband and fellow spoken word artist, E the Poet-Emcee, an open mic variety show that takes place the first Thursday of every month in West Philadelphia. Also, along with her husband, they host together the Art of Conversation Podcast and The Art of Conversation LIVE! a relationship discussion event. Together, they build spaces where art culture and community intersect.
